“Tinoda kuti mikaha yose inge ichigadziriswa kuburikidza nemisangano yatiri kuita,” vanodaro Dr Parirenyatwa.

Vamwe vari kufambisa chirongwa ichi vanosanganisira veConsumer Council of Zimbabwe (CCZ), National Nutrition Department, Retailers Association of Zimbabwe, Food Standards Advisory Board, Food Business Operators, bazi rinoona nezvemaindasitiri nekutengeserana neboka reNational Biotechnology Authority.

Dr Parirenyatwa vanoti panoda zvakare kuti pave nesungawirirano yemitemo yemuno neyenyika dzinodyidzana neZimbabwe mukutengeserana chikafu kana zvinhu zvinogadzira chikafu zvakaita sembeu, zvipfuyo nezvimwe senzira yekurwisa zvirwere zvinobva muchikafu.

Murongi mukuru kuFAO, VaDavid Phiri, vanoti sangano ravo rine shungu yekusimudzira kuwaniswa kwekudya kwakanaka munyika senzira yekuchengetedza utano hweveruzhinji.

“Ticharamba tichizadzikisa zvishuviro zvedu zvekuti vanhu vave nekudya kunovaka muviri, kwakaringana uye kune utano. Tichashanda nenyanzvi dzesainzi kuti dzibatsire mukuvheneka kudya kunogadzirwa muno uye nekunobva kune dzimwe nyika,” vanodaro.

Mutevedzeri wemukuru kuchikamu cheNational Nutrition Departemnet kubazi rezveutano nekurerwa kwevana, Mai Ancikaria Chigumira, vanoti nyaya dzekusimbaradzwa kwezvirongwa zvinoita kuti veruzhinji vawaniswe kudya kune utano uye kusina njodzi dzinoda rutsigiro rwemari nezvekushandisa kuitira kuti dzifambire mberi zvakanaka.

“Vanhu vachange vachibata basa iri vanofanira kudzidziswa uye panodiwa midziyo inoongorora chikafu kuti chisagarise chisati chaenda kuvanhu uye michina yekugadzira chikafu chine utano.

“Hurumende yakazvipira kuchengetedza utano hweveruzhinji zvinova zvinocherechedza mune zvimwe zvikamu zvebumbiro remutemo wenyika,” vanodaro.

Chikafu, vanodaro Mai Chigumira, chinofanirwa kuiswa panzvimbo yakakodzera kuti chichengetedzeke.

“Chinofanira kurimwa nenzira yekuti chisawanikwe chave nemichetura ingava inobva muvhu, mufetereza nemumishonga inoshandiswa mukuchirima. Vanobata chikafu vanofanira kuita izvi nenzira ine utsanana,” vanodaro Mai Chigumira.

Vanoshora nyaya dzekunyuka kwemimwe misika iyo iri kungotengesa chikafu pajekerere nevanhu vasina magwaro ari pamutemo ekuita izvi. Izvi, vanodaro, zvine njodzi huru kuutano hweveruzhinji.
