VANHU 3,2 miriyoni kusvika pari zvino vabaiwa nhomba zvizere dzekudzivirira chirwere cheCovid-19 muZimbabwe.

Magwaro anoburitswa pazuva nebazi rinoona nezveutano nekurerwa kwevana anoratidza kuti kusvika nemusi weChitatu svondo rino, vanhu 4 252 378 vange vabiwa nhomba yekutanga (1st dose) apo vamwe 3 281 020 vange vabaiwa yechipiri (2nd dose).

Vanhu 48 713 vange vabaiwa nhomba yechitatu (booster).

Nerimwe divi, kusvika musi uyu zvakare, vanhu 228 943 vange vawanikwa vaine chirwere cheCovid-19 mushure mekuvhenekwa kubvira pakatanga denda iri munaKurume 2020 muZimbabwe.

Pavarwere ava, 216 028 vakatopona asi vamwe 5 321 vakafa.

Zimbabwe ine chinangwa chekubaya chikamu che60 percent kana kuti vanhu 10 miriyoni pavanhu vose vari munyika kuti inge yakadziviririka kubva kuCovid-19.

“Chinangwa chedu chichiri chekubaya nhomba chikamu che60 percent chevanhu vose vari munyika asi hatisati tatara nguva yatinotarisira kunge tazadzikisa izvi. Tiri kushanda nesimba kuitira kuti tisvitse huwandu uhu nekukasika,” vanodaro Dr Mahomva.

Kubaiwa nhomba kwevanhu vanosvika 9,4 miriyoni kunoita kuti Zimbabwe isvike pachikamu che62,6 percent chevanhu vose vari munyika, zvichireva kuti vose vanokodzera vanokurudzirwa kuti vabaiwe.

Hurumende ine zvikwata zveveutano zviri kumatunhu ose enyika izvo zviri kukurudzira veruzhinji kuti vanobaiwa nhomba nedonzvo rekudzivirira kupararira kweCovid-19.

Zimbabwe iri pakati pekurwisa kunyuka kwedenda iri kechina (fourth wave) uye nyanzvi dzezveutano dzinoti kubaiwa nhomba ndiyo yoga tariro yekukunda chirwere ichi.
